Admission requirements

Important information for those applying to the Academy in the 2024-2025 season:

ball1 In Slovakia, there is a limit on the number of foreign players allowed in a team.

According to the SP SFZ sports law, point 5.3.3. dated June 23, 2021, for the 2021/2022 season, a maximum of 3 foreign players can be registered to play in the Slovakian Open Championship in one team until the age of 21.

Special provisions regarding the transfer of minor players:

ball1A minor player is a natural person who has not reached the age of 18, if under the legal procedure applicable to the child, adulthood is not attained earlier.

ball1 A teenager aged 16 to 18, who has reached adulthood as a result of marriage, proves the attainment of adulthood by presenting a marriage certificate.

ball1The transfer of a minor player can only be carried out with the consent of the player's legal representative (agent by notarial power of attorney or legal guardian appointed by the court of the SR).

ball1The transfer of a minor player who has not reached the age of 15 is possible, except for the exception provided in points No. 5 and No. 6 (sports law), exclusively within the self-governing region where he has permanent residence or temporary registration of residence.

Appointment of guardianship over the incoming person under the laws of the Slovak Republic, in accordance with the new rules (excluding EU citizens).

ball1Preparation of all documents necessary for obtaining a National Visa D * for the Athlete within the territory of the Slovak Republic or beyond its borders (excluding EU citizens).

ball1Preparation of all documents necessary for obtaining a temporary residence permit (residence permit) within the territory of the Slovak Republic (excluding EU citizens).

ball1Sports medical commission.

ball1Medical migration commission (excluding EU citizens).

ball1Preparation of a standard insurance policy valid within the territory of the Slovak Republic for one year.

ball1Education in a private primary or secondary school, including payment of tuition fees for one school year.

ball1Entrance fee at a Private primary or secondary school (Gymnasium).

Accommodation with a family on full board for 11 months.

On a voluntary basis and for an additional fee:

Participation in commercial tournaments.

ball1Individual training with a coach in the gym.

ball1Individual work with a coach at the Academy FC.

What your child receives and his prospects for the next 5 years:

A huge amount of playing time per season in the country's championship and in international away tournaments.

ball1Very high-quality training sessions with coaches of the "A+" category, the highest coaching category.

ball1Within 3-6 months, the child will learn conversational Slovak.

ball1Excellent conversational English within 6-11 months, as all subjects at school and gymnasium are taught in English.

ball1Learning a second language of choice (German, French, Spanish) until primary school.

ball1After primary school, at the level of the 2nd gymnasium class, he will start learning a third language of choice.

ball1The school and football schedule is balanced, allowing for education in two areas.

ball1The child will learn how to properly receive physical and cardio loads and distribute them. He will also learn how to properly apply sports nutrition and control his regimen.

ball1Most importantly, upon completing 8 years of primary school and 5 years of secondary school, he will receive a secondary education (state diploma "Maturita"), which allows the student to enter any EU university without exams.

ball1The student will speak fluently in at least 3 languages.

ball1After 2 years of living and playing football in the interests of Slovakia, he will obtain permanent residency in the European Union (Slovakia), or he may apply for EU citizenship in the interests of the Slovak Republic if, by the age of 18, the child-athlete has lived in the territory of Slovakia for 2 years and has played in one club without changing his place of registration and is at that time a candidate for the Slovak U-16/U-18/U-20/SR National Team, then he can automatically start the process of obtaining Slovak citizenship.
