Education

Our Gymnasium

Our partner in education for our Academy is the state primary and secondary bilingual gymnasium, OKTODID CO Martigny, located in the canton of Valais, Switzerland.

The gymnasium first opened its doors in 2018. Graduates of the school speak at least three foreign languages, which allows them to enter the most prestigious universities in the world. To enroll, students need to pass tests in mathematics and French.

The school provides hot meals, serving balanced dishes every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Our head chef, Mr. Martial Pannatier, works with 4-6 employees with disabilities. Upon presentation of a medical certificate to the management, students may be provided with meals tailored to their health conditions (allergies, intolerances, etc.).

Students can enroll on the first day of school on the days that suit them, at the school's secretary's office. New registrations are accepted every day of the year; it is sufficient for them to write one word in the student's diary.

A monthly bill will be sent to the parents' organization. The cost of lunch + lunchtime activities is set at 12 CHF.

A student enrolled in meal service cannot do without it without notifying the parents in writing in the student's diary. In the event of absence, lunch must be canceled by 9:00 by the legal representative of the student; otherwise, it will be charged. During lunch breaks, students are supervised by a teacher during their free time and during classes.

Lessons last 45 minutes. On average, students have 7 lessons each day.

Several times a year, a school camp is organized. Students go out into nature, to the mountains, and under the guidance of experienced instructors, learn rafting, skiing, snowboarding, and survival skills in camping conditions.

Such events help to bond the collective, broaden the horizons, improve children's health, and immerse them in language learning.

Students study in basic classes in all educational and cultural disciplines (English, geography, history, physical education, drawing, music, family economics, handicrafts, computer science, ethics, and religious culture, elective education) and in levels in core subjects (French, German, mathematics, and science).

There are 4 levels: students are initially divided into French and mathematics according to the results of the 8th grade at the end of the year, then into German and natural sciences according to the results of the 9th grade. Transfers can be made within 3 years of joint work in the order established by law.
