Team Composition and Foreign Player Regulations
According to Slovak sports law SP SFZ, p. 5.3.3. (dated 23.06.2021), for the 2021/2022 season, up to three foreign legionnaires per team (under the age of 21) may be registered to play in the Slovak Open Championship.
Special Provisions for the Transfer of Minor Players:
- A minor is defined as any individual under 18 years of age, unless legal provisions applicable to the child set a different age of majority.
- A teenager aged 16–18 who becomes legally an adult through marriage must provide a marriage certificate as proof.
- The transfer of a minor player can only occur with the consent of the player’s legal representative (either an agent with a notarized power of attorney or a court-appointed guardian in Slovakia).
- For players under 15, transfers are permitted only within the self-governing region where the player resides (or is temporarily registered), except in cases covered by specific points in the sports law.
Living Arrangements – With a Host Family
What’s Included:
- Legal and Administrative Support:
- Establishment of guardianship through a Slovak court (for non-EU citizens).
- Preparation of all documents needed for obtaining a national D visa in Slovakia (for non-Russian/Belarusian citizens) or outside Slovakia (for non-EU citizens).
- Assistance with obtaining a temporary residence permit (VNZ) in Slovakia (for non-EU citizens).
- Medical and Insurance Services:
- Medical sports commission evaluation.
- Medical migration commission (for non-EU citizens).
- Standard one-year insurance policy valid in Slovakia.
- Education:
- Enrollment in a private primary or secondary school, including one school year’s tuition.
- Entrance fee for the school (gymnasium).
- Payment for textbooks and school events for the season.
- School meal fees.
- Sports:
- Team membership fees.
- Accommodation and Daily Logistics:
- Full board accommodation with a host family for 11 months.
- Monthly public transport pass or "school-home" transfers during dark hours.
- Scheduled weekend leisure activities organized by the host family.
- Transfers to and from the airport (between Vienna/Bratislava) during school holidays.
- Club Uniform and Equipment:
- Club uniform for winter (warm jacket, hat, sports tracksuit) and summer (two t-shirts, shorts, cap, sweatshirt).
Payment Terms:
Living with a host family is paid on a seasonal basis with a security deposit applied.
Living Arrangements – With Parents (Living Outside a Host Family)
What’s Included:
- Administrative and Legal Support:
- All documentation for obtaining the national D visa in Slovakia (for non-Russian/Belarusian citizens or outside the EU, except for EU citizens).
- Assistance with obtaining a temporary residence permit (VNZ) in Slovakia (for non-EU citizens).

- Medical sports commission evaluation.
- Medical migration commission (for non-EU citizens).
- Standard one-year insurance policy valid in Slovakia.
- Education:
- Enrollment in a private primary or secondary school, including one school year’s tuition.
- Entrance fee for the school (gymnasium).
- Payment for textbooks and school events.
- Sports:
- Team membership fees.
- Club Uniform and Equipment:

Payment Terms:
For family-based accommodation outside a host family (with parents), payment is made upfront for two full seasons without a security deposit.
Additional (Optional) Services – For an Extra Fee
- Participation in Commercial Tournaments:
Enabling additional competitive experience. - Individual Training Sessions:
- Personal training sessions with a coach in the gym.
- One-on-one work with a coach at the Academy’s football training center using modern football simulators.
Note: These additional training sessions are not covered by the academy’s budget and are paid directly by the parents if the student-athlete requires them.
